Better than Red Lobster Biscuits? Palm Beach’s Best Biscuits

Taste Buddies, who doesn’t love Red Lobster biscuits?

A few weeks ago, the Toni Girls conducted a Facebook survey to find out which restaurant’s biscuits the Taste Buddies love the most. The vote was nearly unanimous: Aside from one vote for Popeyes, the Taste Buddies were riding for those Cheddar Bay Red Lobster biscuits.

The Toni Girls love to support local businesses in our hometown. So, we went on a mission to find the best biscuits in Palm Beach County. Our ultimate goal was to find biscuits at a local restaurant that could top Red Lobster’s famous biscuits.

We succeeded!

Due to COVID, we don’t dine inside restaurants. We are taking precautions to stay safe. We decided to get creative to spice up our restaurant review. With this in mind, the Toni Girls conducted a little experiment using our top subscribers as participants. By “top subscribers,” we mean our moms!

We bought biscuits from Red Lobster, Voodoo Bayou, and Howley’s. But to keep things fair, we did not let our moms know where we bought the biscuits. We actually blindfolded those soul sisters and presented the biscuits to them so that they could taste the biscuits without any preconceived biases.

We asked the Toni Moms to rate the biscuits on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest score.

Here are our results:

Voodoo Bayou

Palm Beach Gardens, FL

This New Orleans-style restaurant was a big hit with the Toni Moms. You’ve got to see their hilarious reaction to these tall biscuits In our YouTube video. Voodoo Bayou’s biscuits are topped with a sweet, honey glaze. The ladies adored these biscuits. According to the Mamas, Voodoo Bayou’s biscuits tasted like home.

The buttermilk biscuits received rave reviews from both ladies. In fact, Toni N’s mom rated Voodoo Bayou’s biscuits higher than Red Lobster’s biscuits.

Howley’s Restaurant

We had some technical difficulties with Howley’s biscuits. Toni N didn’t realize that the biscuits had been cut in half, so she gave the Toni Moms a sample of one half of the biscuit. Apparently, this made a major difference in the tasting.

Once the Toni Moms got a full taste of Howley’s biscuit-top and bottom-they were thoroughly impressed. All these biscuits needed were some good syrup. The flavor was magnificent, and both ladies agreed that Howley’s has an ideal breakfast biscuit.

Shout out to Howley’s Restaurant for distributing food to those in need in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Red Lobster

Toni J’s mom is a traditional girl. She was not able to rank either of the local options above Red Lobster’s biscuits. She just loves those cheddar biscuits. We all do! For a good dinner biscuit, Red Lobster is still the gold standard. We love that you can order biscuits separately. Sometimes you just want some Red Lobster biscuits! Toni N’s mom can hardly wait to get back to her local Red Lobster and get her hands on some shrimp.

For Taste Buddies who prefer not to dine inside restaurants due to the pandemic, you can order from Red Lobster online, and opt for restaurant pickup, delivery, or curbside service.

Conclusion

You can’t go wrong with any of the biscuits that we tried. Although we did not have the opportunity to fully enjoy Voodoo Bayou or Howley’s due to COVID, we cannot wait to get back to these restaurants so that we can dine inside after the coast is clear with this ‘Rona situation.
