Good news, Taste Buddies: Riviera Beach has a healthy, new smoothie shop in town!
The Grand Opening
Smoothie Me Please opened on January 16, 2021, with lots of fanfare and social media buzz surrounding the event.
Of course, the Toni Girls were on the scene for the grand opening of a black-owned smoothie joint in our hometown. The grand opening brought out city officials, press, and old friends from the neighborhood.
A Proud Moment in Riviera
True “Rawvera” natives know that Smoothie Me Please is located on hallowed ground; it sits in the former location of the beloved Dairy Belle. The entire community was excited to see a new business move into the historic space that was once occupied by everyone’s favorite hangout and ice cream spot. While we all miss Dairy Belle’s ice cream, we are pleased to have a healthy option in the city.
The fact that the owner, Ashley Walker, is a Riviera Beach native makes this moment even more noteworthy. The love for the city was evident at the grand opening. The names of most of the items on Smoothie Me Please’s menu are based on landmarks in Riviera Beach. The names were a beautiful tribute to our city and a fun insider for the real Riviera natives to enjoy. This was a truly proud moment for everyone in Riviera and Palm Beach.
Smoothie Me Please definitely puts on for the city of Riviera Beach, and we love to see it!
The Burning Question
We know the burning question that we are charged to answer: “But how did it taste?”
We are pleased to report that we enjoyed the smoothies and the food at Smoothie Me Please! Smoothie Me Please sells açaí bowls, smoothies, lemonades, and salads. So we could indulge while sticking to our 2021 diets.
Toni N tried the Firehouse smoothie. It was everything you would expect from your smoothie: fruity and packed with juicy goodness.
Toni J tried the Berry-Cuda Bay smoothie and the turkey club sandwich. The turkey club was tasty, and had deliciously fresh bread (which is super important for a club sandwich). We were grateful that Smoothie Me Please was generous with the bacon!
Smoothie connoisseurs will appreciate that the smoothies at Smoothie Me Please contain the pulp and seeds from the real fruit. These smoothies are not those super smooth smoothies like some chain restaurants make from from juice or concentrate. This smoothie shop gives you the real deal and cuts no corners!
The Bottom Line: Support Smoothie Me Please
Go check out Smoothie Me Please! Who doesn’t love a good smoothie or salad? For those of us who are striving to eat healthier in 2021, you can safely visit Smoothie Me Please without being tempted to cheat on your New Year diet.
