Taste Buddies, we have a new restaurant alert! Elisabetta’s Ristorante opened in West Palm Beach in January 2021.
The Ambiance
You already know that the Toni Girls headed over to see what Elisabetta’s is all about. The restaurant is located in downtown West Palm Beach, just across from the intracoastal. While garage parking is expensive, the view is worth the hassle.
The restaurant is outfitted in the most luxurious and fabulous decor that you can imagine. Elisabetta’s interior has the level of panache and sophistication that just screams Palm Beach.
The Toni Girls visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was busy! We wanted to sit outside to be safe, and also for the fantastic ambiance. Although we sat outside, we were still wearing our masks, as the outdoor terrace was 100% jam packed. We don’t play with the Rona!
The exterior of the restaurant is just as spectacular as the inside.
The Taste
If you hadn’t already guessed from the Italian name, Elisabetta’s Ristorante is an Italian restaurant. The food is made from scratch, and is not processed. Everything is locally sourced. We love to see it!
The restaurant also has mimosas and drinks for those Taste Buddies who choose to partake.
Now, if you’re new here, we will let you know that this blog is not one of those boujie food blogs that discusses flavor profiles and heat. There are no culinary terms on this website! This is the “But how did it taste?” type of blog. So, we are not embarrassed to share that, while the Toni Girls are highly educated, we could not pronounce most of the items featured on the menu at Elisabetta’s. Our server was really helpful and was kind enough to give us a rundown of the menu! There is no shame in our game! Just bring out the pasta!
Because we are dedicated to our Taste Buddies, we tried a variety of items on the menu so that we could share the full details with you.
Toni J tried the Linguine Nere, which is a pasta that includes shrimp, yellow tomatoes, calabrian chilis, and mint.
Taste Buddies, I wish you all could have seen Toni J’s face when her pasta hit the table and her noodles were black. She was lost! Our Italian-speaking Taste Buddies will know that the word nere means “black” in Italian. Thank God for Google because Toni J thought Elisabetta’s had given her some squid.
Confusion aside, Toni J enjoyed the Linguini Nere.
Toni N tried the Cacio e Pepe pasta. Cacio e pepe means “cheese and pepper” in Italian. (Again, thank Heaven for Google.) This pasta has spaghetti chitarra, pecorino romano cheese, and cracked black pepper. At first bite, Toni N was also confused: this pasta has a STRONG, acquired taste. But after she regained her composure, she really enjoyed her cacio e pepe.
Both of the Toni Girls noticed that the noodles in Elisabetta’s pasta were very chewy. We definitely recommend the pasta…just glue your dentures down really well before you go.
We couldn’t leave Elisabetta’s without trying one of their pizzas. So, we ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza to go. This pizza has ricotta cheese, gorgonzola, aged provolone, and calabrian oregano. This pizza was amazingly beautiful. The taste was right where we needed it to be.
HOWEVER…Toni N was super bitter when she find out, after arriving home, that the pizza did not have the mushrooms for which she was charged an extra $5! We were so disappointed. Taste Buddies, you know how it is when you have your mouth tuned up to enjoy your takeout and then get home, only to realize that something is missing! We usually check our food before leaving an establishment, but we didn’t want to expose our pizza to all of those people in the Rona! But we digress.
The Bottom Line: Try Elisabetta’s
Elisabetta’s is lovely for those of you who enjoy fine dining in picturesque locations. While the menu is on the pricier side (according to some), the decor is worth a visit. Give it a try and tell us what you all think. Elisabetta’s also has a Delray Beach location.
Elisabetta’s Ristorante is located at 185 Banyan Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida.
Stay tuned for more food reviews! The Toni Girls will keep you up to date on all of our culinary adventures in Palm Beach and beyond.
